Tour rookie Macy Callaghan has been knocked out of the women’s competition at the Rip Curl Pro.

The Avoca surfer struggled early on in the heat, before managing a 6 point ride at Bells Beach.

But it was far from enough to secure a spot in the quarterfinals, falling behind Hawaiian Carissa Moore.
