A record 14,000 prospective students are celebrating tonight, having been offered a place to begin tertiary study at the University of Newcastle’s Ourimbah Campus.
The most popular options included bachelor degrees in Podiatry, Business and Nursing.
But for those who didn’t get what they wanted, the message is don’t give up.
“If you’ve missed out there are things we can do alternatively, through tafe, our foundation program, people just need a little bit of help and encouragement to take the next step.”
There are still two more rounds of offers, on February the 2nd and 10th, for those who wish to change their preferences.
