HAMMOND SEEKS TWELFTH WIN ON THE TROT

Moree boxer Cameron Hammond will need to to beat Wollongong’s Alex Ahtong next week, if he’s to keep his world title campaign on track.

Despite Ahtong’s poor record of nine wins and 28 losses, Hammond expects to be tested by the 38-year-old’s experience.

The bout will be only the second time the former Olympian has taken on a Southpaw fighter at the professional level.

The match will take place at the Gold Coast’s QT Hotel next Saturday.
