A man has been refused bail after he was allegedly caught riding a stolen bike through the Newcastle suburb of Hamilton South.
Police say, when they arrested the 28-year-old, they also found an extendable baton and a bag containing methamphetamine.
A check on the bike later revealed it had been stolen from a home last week.
The man’s facing a number of charges.
