As the weather cools down, Armidale Regional Council is reminding residents to be vigiliant when using wood heaters in winter.
Getting permission from Council is essential, before installing a wood heater in your home.
Council’s also recommending residents check their chimneys regularly, and don’t let smoke smoulder overnight.
