BARHAM TO RETIRE FROM STATE POLITICS

North Coast Greens MLC Jan Barham has announced she’ll retire from state politics at the end of the year.

Ms Barham told parliament last night, she’s proud of the work she’s done but the rigors of 17 years in public life have taken their toll.

Prior to her election in 2011, the Greens member served as Byron Shire’s Mayor for eight years.
