POLICE PRAISE NYE BEHAVIOUR IN HUNTER

Police say they’re pleased – for the most part – with crowd behaviour in the Hunter, with only a small amount of anti-social behaviour reported over the New Year.
They’re also praising people for being responsible on the roads, during Operation Safe Arrival.
While speeding remains a concern statewide, authorities say the number of driving offences has fallen this festive season.
Double demerits are in place until midnight tonight.
