BREW-LOVERS REJOICE AT NEWCASTLE BEER FESTIVAL
The wet weather certainly didn’t put a damper on Newcastle’s beer festival, with thousands still showing up to indulge with their favourite brew.
On the menu was a selection of 35 Australian-fermented beers, six ciders and – for the first time – an alcoholic kombucha.
“The beer market itself is obviously large but only about 5 to 10% is independent Australian owned and made craft but the category is growing exponentially.”
The festival is now in its sixth year.
