TAMWORTH TRANSGRID STAFF CALL FOR HIGHER PAY

Around 20 TransGrid workers rallied in Tamworth today, unhappy with pay negotiations.
The Electrical Trades Union is seeking a 3-per cent increase.
Management has offered a 2-per cent rise.
“We’re just asking TransGrid to come to the table and genuinely negotiate with us. And the wage increase should be reflective of what’s in the industry and what the workers are doing to contribute to the success that TransGrid are having,” says union representative, Allen Hicks.
The union will travel to all regional offices this week, before taking its offer to TransGrid.
