Upgrades to Tamworth’s busiest intersection started today and is likely to cause delays for drivers until October.
Prelimenary works are underway at Jewry and Peel streets before major works begin next month – including a $6-million overhaul of Manilla Road.
Brewery Lane will be widened and a new footpath added.
It’s hoped to ease the well-known bottle-neck.
