The Waratahs have scored a confidence-boosting win over the Reds in the Super W.
Newcastle’s Katrina Barker and Maya Stewart starred in the 15-12 win in Sydney, which leaves the New South Wales-based outfit second on the ladder.
Barker was instrumental in steering the young side around the field, while Stewart’s first try in the competition proved the difference.
The 18-year-old hopes a string of strong performances will push her towards a career goal or two.
The Tahs next face the Melbourne Rebels in a fortnight.
