ANOTHER SET OF EYES IN THE SKY FOR SURF LIFESAVERS

Surf lifesaving drones have been rolled out across Northern Rivers beaches, giving the region an extra set of eyes in the sky.

It’s the first time drones have been used to assist in the area and the phantom 4 models have a range of helpful features.

“We’ve used them for search and rescues, rip spotting, shark identification and all sorts of things.”

50 drones will be deployed nationwide.
