NEWCASTLE COUNCIL UNVEILS PLANS FOR WEST END

New cycleway connections and green spaces are on the drawing board for Newcastle’s West End.

The city council is planning wider footpaths and bike corridors for Steel and Denison streets, along with new pedestrian crossings on Hunter Street.

Stage two of the plan will see a separated cycleway from Wickham Park to Union Street.

Another will run from National Park, connecting Merewether to Honeysuckle.
