It’s understood negotiations with Virgin Australia are nearing conclusion, and a deal is expected to be finalised tomorrow.
Once the deal is sealed – Virgin will lease land at the airport for a training facility, for a decade.
The first batch of trainee-pilots are expected to arrive, mid-year.
