MOUNTAIN SOUNDS GOES INTO LIQUIDATION
The company behind the Central Coast’s Mountain Sounds festival has gone into liquidation, with outstanding debts of around $1.5 million.
It comes after this year’s event at Mount Penang Parklands was cancelled, with a week’s notice.
Documents reveal the company owes money to hundreds of creditors.
Among them, ticketing website EventBrite, which is owed around $900,000, while the Tax Office is owed in excess of $89,000.
The company has just $130,000 in assets.
Ticketholders are being encouraged to get in touch with their card provider for a refund.
