Port Macquarie’s Matt Banting has advanced to the sixth round of the Great Lakes Pro, breezing through his 5th round heat earlier this afternoon.
The 24 year old put up a two-wave score of 17.6, to overcome Angourie’s Chris Zaffis, Dylan Moffat, and Te Butler.
He now faces Lennox Head’s Mikey McDonagh and two others, for a quarter finals place.
