The new owner of Newcastle’s ‘Roundhouse’ says the city’s first five-star hotel will honour our laid-back nature.
Syrian entrepreneur Ghassan Aboud today toured what is currently still the home of Newcastle Council.
He says he’s fallen for the Roundhouse’s structure… including the oddly-shaped rooms.
“And you shouldn’t worry, the room will be really wonderful – because some people say the room will be like a pizza, a piece of pizza, but don’t worry, it’ll be lovely pizza.”
Mr Aboud wants the transformation to be complete in late 2020… and hopes to open a second five-star hotel in Newcastle, after that.
