VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER RATING FOR MOST OF NEW SOUTH WALES
A very high fire danger rating is in place for much of the state today, including the Greater Hunter region, Central Coast, New England and north-west.
The north coast and far-north coast have a fire danger rating of ‘high.’
As of 8am this morning, 24 fires continue to burn across New South Wales including blazes at Tenterfield, Tabulam and Tingha.
The Tingha bushfire has scorched more than 23,000 hectares and destroyed nine homes.
The RFS is asking residents to report all unattended fires to Triple Zero.
