There were some furry patrons at Honeysuckle Hotel on Sunday for the Pound Paws Dog Day.
Pooches were pampered and judged for their best tricks and outfits, in front of a very supportive audience.
Knights star Shaun Kenny-Dowall made an appearance on the judging panel.
It’s the first time the event has been held in Newcastle; which aims to help find new homes for a growing number of abandoned dogs.
