An information session on the deadly Hendra Virus will be held at Wollongbar tomorrow night after a horse died of the virus near the town last week.
The affected Wollongbar property is now under quarantine, while those who came in contact with the horse are under close observation.
The Department of Primary Industries and Local Health District are organising the meeting to give horse owners advice on minimising the risk of infection and also outline the human health risks.
The session will be held at the Wollongbar Primary Industries Institute from 6pm.
