NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS MEET ALIBABA CO-FOUNDER

University of Newcastle students have met with the co-founder of Chinese multi-national conglomerate, Alibaba, as part of a scholarship program.

Jack Ma engaged with the students on a variety of topics, including demilitarisation, environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship.

The scholarship, in its second year, also offers financial support to students throughout their degree.

It was created in honour of the friendship between Mr Ma and noted Novocastrian, the late Ken Morley.
