ARSON ATTACK ON CORINDI BOARDWALK

Corindi Beach residents are counting the cost of a deliberately lit fire, which destroyed part of a boardwalk yesterday afternoon – interrupting tours by the Yarrawarra Indigenous Corporation.
“Very disappointing, a bit tragic really to think that someone would purposely light it.”
The fire, which spread though a paper bark forest, has also made access difficult for people with disabilities.
“The boardwalk essentially was so that any person could have access. Including wheelchair bound people, elderly, children, so it was about access for all to to learn and enjoy.”
