REPORT WARNS OF JOB LOSSES UNLESS HUNTER MOVES AWAY FROM COAL

The mining industry has dismissed a report, warning that the Upper Hunter risks massive job losses, if its economy fails to diversify.

But the study – commissioned by environmental group Lock the Gate – also found the region is well placed to do just that.
