Newcastle Council unveiled a new look on Wednesday – a more colourful logo.
The design – replacing one that lasted 26 years – features a rainbow ‘N’, designed to represent a more inclusive community.
The look cost almost $50,000.
“I think it is hopeful, it is bright, it is fun, but I expect that there will obviously be the naysayers, but that’s okay, for us it’s about uniting all our services.” – Cr Nuatali Nelmes, Newcastle Lord Mayor.
The logo will be rolled out over the next year.
