DAGG REPLACES RUSH FOR LABOR IN UPPER HUNTER

Labor has unveiled its new candidate for Upper Hunter, with Cessnock Deputy Mayor Melanie Dagg replacing Martin Rush.
Mr Rush resigned last month, following an assault allegation against him, which he’s categorically denied.
Ms Dagg is asking voters to judge her, on her merits.
“I am under no illusion I am will have to work hard, everyday, to win the trust of this community.”
The young mum says her priorities include providing quality health and education services.
