Firefighters have managed to bring a bushfire burning west of Port Macquarie, under control.
Dry and windy conditions had been fanning the blaze, which started at around 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon, near Tom’s Creek Road.
Containment lines are now in place, with nearby residents urged to remain vigilant.
Some parts of the fire front are currently inaccessible, due to the terrain.
