Charlestown’s Blake Windred is the last Hunter golfer at the Australian Amateur.
He’s now into the final eight.
Earlier on Friday, he beat Branxton’s Corey Lamb in an all-Hunter showdown.
“It’s a shame we had to play each other and knock each other out, but it’s good, he’s a very talented young fella and I told him after we finished that he’s improved a lot.”
He’ll be back on the course in Melbourne on Saturday.
