COASTAL MANAGEMENT RECEIVES STATE GOVERNMENT OVERHAUL

Dealing with coastal issues like erosion is set to become more simple across New South Wales.
It comes as the Minister for Planning announced a raft of reforms during a conference in Forster today.
After reading the proposal he only certainty for coastal communities is that of future forced retreat and massively diminished development rights inflicted by this policy. Stokes will set up a Green dominated “coastal council” that is above the Parliament of NSW and will act as an unelected and unchallengeable “star chamber” deciding the future of coastal communities. Stokes challenges existing established property rights with suggestions that fixed boundary private property could be changed to ambulatory boundary and residents lose land with no recourse, protection measures have diminished and cost benefit methodology written to suit the Green agenda.
Rob Stokes will be remembered for his betrayal of NSW coastal communities.
