WILLIAMTOWN PROTEST ART REMOVED

An art display was installed outside Port Stephens Council early this morning, to protest against the handling of the Williamtown RAAF contamination saga.
The unsanctioned installation, made partly of foam, lasted just an hour and a half before being taken down by a council officer.
“The council is there for the community and I think the community as a whole should be rallying together to as a collective to support these families that are suffering”
The saga falls under federal authority.
The council says it keeps the community as informed as possible, but outside that, its role has been limited.
