GOANNAS REMOVED FROM CROWDY BAY

Visitors to Crowdy Bay National Park are being urged not to feed or leave scraps behind for wildlife.
The message comes after National Parks authorities had to relocate some of the local goannas after they became assertive, aggressive and dangerous. According to a spokesperson, it didn’t take long for the reptiles to learn the campsites were an easy source of food.
Kangaroos and some birds have also developed these bad behaviours.
