LUCKY ESCAPE AS TINNY FLIPS CROSSING EVANS HEAD BAR
A morning fishing trip took a nasty turn for three people on the state’s north coast this morning.
The trio were crossing the Evans Head bar in a tinny at around 7:30, when the vessel flipped.
They were plucked from the water by local surf lifesavers using an Inflatable Rescue Boat.
One man was checked over by paramedics at the scene, however didn’t require hospital treatment.
The other two were uninjured.
