ONE DEAD, THREE INJURED IN TOMAGO CRASH

A single-vehicle crash north of Newcastle has left a woman dead, and three others fighting for life in hospital.

Seven ambulance crews, along with two helicopters were called to the scene on Tomago Road just after 5 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, following reports a sedan had left the road and struck a tree.

A female passenger died at the scene.

The driver, along with two other passengers were taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

Tomago Road was reopened to traffic in the late evening.
