MAN CHARGED OVER SHORTENED FIREARM

Police have charged a man, allegedly seen wandering a Central Coast suburb with a sawn-off shotgun.

Officers were called to Crossingham Street, Toukley at around 10.45 last night.

They arrested a 43 year old man at a nearby property, after allegedly finding the loaded weapon hidden on the roof.

The man was taken to Wyong Police Station, where he was charged with multiple offences.

Police are investigating whether the incident was bikie-related.
