DRUNK DRIVER NARROWLY MISSES STAFF AT TAREE BOTTLE SHOP

Customers and staff came dangerously close to being hurt, when a car came careering through a Taree drivethrough bottleshop on Friday afternoon.

When tested police allege its driver blew 0.256, more than five times the legal limit.

The would-be customer, a 51-year-old man, has been charged with high-range drink driving.

He’ll face Forster Local Court in February.
