Telecommunications in Walcha are finally being restored, after some phone and internet services were taken out during last month’s storms.
In good news for shoppers and business owners, EFTPOS facilities are now back up and running.
While the 3G service is working within the town, but the signal is weak in some parts.
Telstra is sourcing equipment to address the issue, after a number of cables were damaged in the fierce weather.
A town meeting will be hosted by Council on January 14.
