POLICE APPEALING FOR ASSISTANCE FOLLOWING TAREE NEWSAGENT ROBBERY

Police are appealing for public assistance following a robbery at a Taree newsagent on Friday morning.

Police say at 7am a man entered the shop and pushed the female employee into the counter, then took cash from the register.

The staff member suffered wounds to her head and was taken to Manning Base Hospital for treatment.

The offender is described to be of medium to solid build with tanned skin.
