A man’s died after shooting another man while attempting to clean his gun.
Police were told a 40-year-old took out the rifle to clean it when a round was fired, hitting a 23-year-old. He died at the scene.
The 40-year-old was taken to Quirindi police station and charged with manslaughter.
He’ll face Tamworth Local Court tomorrow.
