A 50-year-old man has been charged over the alleged possession of child abuse material.
In November, Western Australian Police commenced an investigation after a mobile phone was located at a Karatha home.
It’s alleged that phone contained a number of images and video files of child abuse material.
Investigations led to officers notifying the Manning/Great Lakes District, who attended an Old Bar home on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers spoke with a 50-year-old man and searched his home, where it’s alleged they located a number of electronic storage devices and mobile phones, containing child abuse material.
He was refused bail to appear at Forster Local Court today.
