COAST COMMUTERS QUESTION EMERGENCY BUS DELAY

Central Coast commuters are questioning why buses weren’t immediately engaged to transport passengers stranded after a lightning strike during yesterday’s peak period, despite multiple vehicles on standby.

Hundreds were stuck at Gosford station while crews worked on an electrical outage, caused by a lightning strike between Hornsby and Gosford.

In a statement, Transport for New South Wales said emergency buses were on call but weather conditions hindered their use.
