CENTRAL COAST COMPANY FINED OVER EMPLOYEE’S CHEMICAL BURNS

A West Gosford chemical producer has been fined nearly $50,000 after an employee suffered second-degree burns mixing an adhesive in 2016.
Hiltour has been handed the penalty, after a 28-year-old man had to undergo numerous skin graft surgeries to his leg.
It’s been revealed the employee of 10 years never received adequate training to deal with the hazardous substance.
Hiltour has the option to appeal the decision.
