BENJAMIN BATTERHAM TO STAND TRIAL FOR MURDER

Benjamin Batterham – the Newcastle man accused of chasing down and killing an alleged home intruder, will stand trial for murder.

Batterham fronted Sydney Supreme Court on Friday where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The 34-year-old allegedly found Ricky Slater Dickson inside his Hamilton home in 2016.

The trial is expected to take four to six weeks, and will be held in Newcastle in a year’s time.
