MAN INJURED IN MOTORBIKE ACCIDENT NEAR URALLA
A 61-year-old motorbike rider has been left with leg injuries, after hitting a kangaroo near Uralla in the state’s north west.
Just after 6 o’clock this morning, emergency services including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to the scene, around 12 kilometres south of the township.
It’s understood the bike collided with the animal – pushing it into an oncoming car.
The man suffered lower leg injuries, and was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
He’s reported to be in a stable condition.
