Outgoing Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter, Scot MacDonald, has delivered a petition to parliament from Hamilton retailers, calling on the government to reinstate bus services to Beaumont Street.
Around 60 businesses participated, with most saying turnover is down since buses were cut in January.
The buses have been diverted to Donald and Tudor streets.
