LONG WEEKEND CARNIVAL BEGINS WITH A BANG

The hosts had mixed results on the opening day of Tamworth’s Long Weekend Carnival today.

Tamworth started brightly, accounting for the Brisbane Thunder 2-1, before falling to Canberra 5-4 this afternoon.

While five-time defending champions Interport are likely to be the team to beat again.

The Brisbane-based outfit beat New South Wales Country 5-2, and followed it up with a 4-all draw with the Sydney Deadstars.
