COUPLE FIND THEMSELVES STUCK ON LIGHT RAIL DIVIDER

It seems cyclists aren’t the only ones having trouble adjusting to Newcastle’s light rail set-up.

This morning, a couple on their way home from the beach found themselves stranded at a Hunter Street intersection, after their car mounted a concrete divider.

And while a four-wheel-drive might have made short work of it, the small hatchback ended up stuck for some time.

Eventually, a group of construction workers got the couple back on their way.
