WOMEN’S CRICKET IN TAMWORTH SOARS COURTESY OF DOMESTIC LEVEL

The soaring popularity of the Women’s Big Bash League is helping grow the sport at a grassroots level.

The women’s competition in Tamworth has expanded further this season, as pathways continue to open up for female players.

“There’s just so many avenues for the ladies to pursue a career in women’s cricket, and I think some girls are getting onto that, they like the cricket, they like the idea of being able able to go ahead and play a higher grade.”
