One of the three TrainLink trials from Tamworth has been axed, following a lack of interest.
On average, coaches were just 7-percent full for the Tamworth to Newcastle service, while Port Macquarie and Dubbo had much stronger results.
A daily train via Newcastle will continue to operate, as will the Dubbo and Port Macquarie coach services.
A revised timetable for the Dubbo route will be introduced from December 3.
