A man has died in hospital as a result of injuries he sustained when he was struck by a car on the Central Coast on the weekend.
The 23-year-old was walking along Wallarah Road in Kanwal at around 11:30pm on Sunday, when he ran across the road and was struck by a van.
Bystanders assisted the man until he was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, but he has since passed away.
The 28-year-old man driving the van was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police continue to seek witnesses of the incident.
