SECOND HIGH RISE BUILDING PLANNED FOR NEWCASTLE INTERCHANGE

Newcastle’s apartment block boom looks set to continue, with a developer lodging plans with council for a 14-storey building, next to the transport interchange.
The multi-million dollar project would replace the McCarroll’s car showroom on Hannell Street.
If approved, construction is expected to start in 2020.
It comes after Doma group recently put forward its plan for a 12-storey office building on the other side of the interchange.
