MOONBI HOME TO ONE OF AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST SWAGING PRESSES

Moonbi-based company ‘Andromeda Industries’ is now home to one of the largest swaging presses in Australia.

Valued at half a million dollars, the Swedish machine will manufacture steel sling-cables up to 100 millimetres wide to be exported overseas.

“We need to start pressing larger slings for bigger jobs that need to be done out in the field and in the mines so we’ve got this new press, 4200 tonne press to increase our sling making capability.”
